 If bridge restoration is preferred in the prosthetic treatment of missing teeth, it requires preparation in a minimum of 2 teeth for 1 missing tooth. However, no preparation is required in any adjacent tooth in implant treatment.

Will I feel pain during and after implant treatment?

Since the edentulous jaw is anesthetized with local anesthesia, the patient does not feel pain during the operation. If the patient follows the medications and warnings given by the doctor after the operation, he or she will experience a comfortable recovery period.

Is there a relationship between implant treatment and general health status?

Uncontrolled blood glucose level (diabetes), smoking, osteoporosis or the use of some drugs that affect bone metabolism, and the use of anticoagulant drugs are diseases that should be carefully evaluated in implant treatments.

If the patient has one or more of these diseases, the patients are consulted to the medical doctor before the implant treatment.

How long are implants used?

It is wrong to give a lifetime to the use of the implant. It is very important not to disrupt the doctor's controls and good oral hygiene for the life of the implant in the long term of the implants. With regular dentist visits, implants can be used for many years.

Is it true that the implant is rejected by the body?

There is no rejection of the implants applied with sterile operation and correct technique.The success rate of implants worldwide is in the range of 97-99%.

Is an implant necessary for every tooth deficiency?

In case of a single missing tooth, an implant is placed in the relevant area, but in multiple missing teeth, "one implant for each missing tooth" is usually not applied.Implants can be used as bridge abutments, just as in bridge restorations.

When is the earliest time to go to the prosthesis stage after the implant is made?

After the implants are placed in the jawbone, at least 3-4 months are required for the prosthesis stage.

Do implants fall out?

An osseointegrated implant is not likely to fall out. However, good oral care is very important for the long-term maintenance of osseointegration. There is no risk of decay in the implants or the teeth made on it.

How do I care for my implants? Is special care required?

Good oral hygiene is very important for the longevity of the implant. In addition to routine brushing, special interface brushes and under-bridge dental floss should be used.

Although the use of mouthwash is not common in patients, it is very effective especially in cleaning the interface.
